Mr. William Eugene Duck, 86, of Wilson entered into rest Sunday, May 13, 2012, in Osceola. Born Jan. 7, 1926, in Mt. Judea, to the late John Duck Sr. and Ellen Duck, he was a member of the Church of Christ in Wilson, a WWII Navy Veteran and a carpenter. He served on the Wilson Volunteer Fire Department for 56 years and was on the Wilson Housing Authority Board.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 58 years, Willie B. Hardy Duck; five sisters, Lucille Smith, Lillian Waters, Frankie Boyles and Laura Cook; and one brother Harvey Duck.

He leaves two sons: Johnny Duck of Keiser and Kenny Duck of Southaven, Miss.;

One daughter, Linda Dawson of Wilson;

Three sisters, JoAnne Edwards of Harrison and Marie Hill and Shirley Harriman of Bentonville;

Two brothers, Jearl Duck of Harrison and John Duck Jr. of Osceola; and

Seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6- 8 p.m. today at Roller-Swift Funeral Home in Osceola. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Roller-Swift Chapel. Burial will follow in Mississippi County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be members of the Wilson Volunteer Fire Department. An online guest book is available at www.rollerfuneralhomes.com
