Mr. Loren Wilson Vore, 87, of Leachville, passed from this life early Saturday May 12, 2012, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born in Dunkirk, Ind., he was the son of the late Homer and Minnie Blankenbaker Vore and was raised in Red Key, Ind. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II and had been a Leachville area resident since 1947. Mr. Vore was a retired farmer and a member of the First Baptist Church in Leachville. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Irda Mae Robinson Vore, in 2008; and by six brothers, and three sisters.

He leaves three sons, Jerrell Wayne Vore and his wife, Ruth Ann, of Jonesboro, James Wilson Vore and his wife, Mary, of Cardwell, Mo., and Gary Gene Vore of Paragould;

Two sisters, Lucy Myers of Dunkirk, Ind., and Leavera Stockton of Hartford City, Ind.;

Eight grandchildren, Michael Wayne Vore and wife, Donna, Michelle Renee Bowman and husband, Greg, Nicholas James Vore, Chad Edward Vore, Christopher Vore, Jonathan Vore, Gary Gene Vore Jr. and Connie Vore; and

Nine great-grandchildren, Makayla Richardson, Emily Vore, Jared Vore, Joey Vore, Jacob Bowman, Katie Bowman, Colt Vore, Cody Vore and Mylissa Vore.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. today at the First Baptist Church in Leachville with the Rev. David Price officiating. Burial will follow in Greene County Memorial Gardens in Paragould.
