James "Jim" Carey

James "Jim" Carey, 57 of Etowah, Ark., died May 5, 2012, at his home. He was born Feb. 9, 1955, in Jefferson City, Mo. He was a retired policeman and a retired truck driver and of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Carey and Rhudene Carey Bennett.

He is survived by his wife, Kemberly Holt Carey of Etowah; four daughters, Deanna (William) Tyler of Yazoo City, Miss., Beth (John) Tackett of Pontotoc, Miss, Jennifer (Chris) Beasley of Flora, Miss., and Candace Carey of Bentonia, Miss.; two sisters, Janice Stroud of Harrisburg, Ark., and Sherry Oatsvall of Etowah; a brother, MAC (Katie) Carey of Lepanto, Ark.; eight grandchildren Cody, Cameron, Hayden and Bailee Tyer of Yazoo City, Miss., Allison, and Alana Tackett of Pontotoc Miss., and Dalton and Logan Beasley of Flora, Miss.

The funeral was held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 7, at the Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. Burial was at Garden Point Cemetery in Etowah with Brother Randy Johnson officiating.

The family received visitors from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, May 7, at the funeral home.
