William Earl Brakefield

Mr. William Earl Brakefield, 63, of Millington, died of heart failure Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. Born Oct. 19, 1948, in Memphis, he was a retired van driver for the railroad, an Army veteran, and a Pentecostal.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Imogene Brakefield; and his brother, Richard Earl Brakefield.

Mr. Brakefield leaves his fiance, Marque Barnes of Burnsville;

One step-daughter, Linda Mullins of Burnsville;

One step-son, Victor Barnes of Southaven;

One sister, Betty Jean Fincher of Millington;

Two nieces, Teresa Fincher and Rebecca Miller of Nashville;

Two nephews, Jeff Fincher of Largo and Charles Miller of Montgomery; and

Nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services, officiated by Bro. Ray Hammontree, will be held at the Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola at 2 p.m. Saturday. Visitation will be held from noon until service time. Burial will follow in Bassett.
