Esther Greene

Mrs. Esther Greene, 78, of El Paso, Texas, died Monday, April 23, 2012, in El Paso.

She was born in Parkin and moved to Blytheville in the late 1950s. She was an employee of the New York Store for many years. She was a member of New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church and served in many auxiliaries of the church.

She was married to Walter Greene, who preceded her in death.

She leaves her daughters, Mrs. Mary (and Will) Harper of El Paso and Ernestine Williams of Chicago;

A son, Leon (and Margaret) Williams of Blytheville;

A sister, Mrs. Norma Johnson; and

Eight grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at Greater Mt. Olive Baptist Church in El Paso with Pastor Nathaniel Austin officiating. Funeral arrangements are by San Jose Funeral Home of El Paso.
