Anna Lee Price, 79, daughter of the late James Edward and Sarah Anna (Wilson) Long, was born May 3, 1932, in Ellsinore, Mo., and departed this life Thursday, April 19, 2012 in Gosnell.

Her teaching career began at Brushy Creek, Mo., before she married and moved to Wyoming. In 1963, she returned to Missouri where she and her husband, Jim, operated the Eastwood Store near Van Buren, Mo. Later she returned to her family farm in Ellsinore where she taught kindergarten and Head Start. She also spent 14 years in Arizona when she retired and moved to Gosnell to be near family.

Mrs. Price was a member of the Gosnell Baptist Church and enjoyed cooking and trying out new recipes, sewing, crafts, working in her yard and teaching and being around children.

On May 10, 1952, she was united in marriage to Jim Houston Price in Poplar Bluff, Mo. He preceded her in death Feb. 3, 2011. She was also preceded in death by one brother, James Edward Long Jr. and one great-grandson, Axel Houston Neel.

Survivors include two daughters, Veleta Price of Peoria, Ariz., and Fontella Adams and her husband, Mike, of Gosnell.;

One granddaughter, Melissa Neel and her husband, Tommy, and son Blake Jones of Gosnell;

Two step-grandchildren, Angela Blount, her husband, Tim, and son Andrew of Houston, Miss., Kristy Baugus and her husband, Adam, and children, Deven and Emily of Gosnell; and

Many other relatives and friends who mourn her passing.

Visitation will be held at 6 p.m. today in the McSpadden Funeral Home in Ellsinore, Mo. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Jerry Crowley and the Rev. John Crowley officiating. Music will be provided by the Rev. Curtis Crowley. Pallbearers will be Justin Eudaley, Tom Mann, Chris Jones, Alan Price, Darren Potter and John Price.
