Marlue Rhoades Robertson

Mrs. Marlue Rhoades Robertson, 80, of Paragould, and a former resident of Gosnell, passed from this life Saturday, April 14, 2012, at the Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould. Born to Charles F. and Elsie Cleo Welch Rhoades in Pine Bluff, she was a homemaker and of the Pentecostal Faith. When she was able, Marlue loved cooking and canning. She loved dancing and thoroughly loved to go shopping. Most important in her life was the time she could spend with her family and she would "light up" whenever those grand and great-grand children were around.

Marlue was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Calvin Robertson; her siblings, Bobby Rhoades, Joann Doyle, Ermalie Russ, Bernice Kentrel, Gary Rhoades and Buddy Rhoades; a son-in-law, Ricky Southern; and a daughter-in-law, Judy Robertson.

Mrs. Robertson leaves her children, Lesa Southern of Paragould, Tommy and Stacie Robertson of Savannah, Tenn., Jimmy Robertson of Dell, Donnie Robertson of Gosnell, Jeanette Vail of Arlington, Texas, James Robertson of Stantonville, Texas, Dyann and Sam Burritt of West Memphis, Peggy Smith of West Memphis;

A brother, Billy Rhoades of Blytheville;

A sister-in-law, Joyce Rhoades of Carterville, Ill.;

Eleven grandchildren, LeeAnn Southern, Breann Beard, Billy Meacham, Timothy Southern, Sherry Williams, Tyler Roland, Amber Delaney, Keith Robertson, Kevin Robertson, Shanda Vail and Renea Vail;

Ten great-grandchildren, Kaila Williams, Jessica Williams, Jillian Meacham, Kaitlyn Southern, Jacy Southern, Will Jackson, Kaylee Watts, Allie Delaney and Kylie Robertson; and

A host of nieces and nephews and friends.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from noon until 1:30 p.m. today at Cobb Funeral Home. Condolences may be expressed to the family on the Cobb Funeral Home website.
