John Hill Rosamond

Mr. John Hill Rosamond, 68, of Blytheville, passed from this life Sunday, March 18, 2012, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

Born in Galveston, Texas, to J.C. and Ima Gean Hill Rosamond, he was a retired carpenter, having worked with Hopco Cabinets. Mr. Rosamond also did millwork and was of the Baptist faith.

John was an avid fisherman and loved building boats. He was a talented individual who loved taking a piece of wood and crafting it into cabinets or countertops. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and an amazing man, who showed a tremendous amount of courage and strength with his disabilities.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Jennie Statum Rosamond, of the home;

His children, Kelly Jones, of Wolfe City, Texas, Brandy Rosamond of Texas, Ryan Rosamond of Texas, Geneva (and Curt) Jackson of Holly Springs, Miss., John David Wage of Rockface, Ga., Annie N. Wage of Quitman, Texas, Sandy Dawn Ferguson of Sulpher Springs, Texas, and Linda Joyce Cormar of Arkadelphia;

His brothers, Ed (and Linda) Rosamond and Mike (and Donna) Rosamond, both of Sulpher Springs, Texas; and

Sixteen grandchildren.
