Mr. Grady Oliver Massey Jr., 60, of the Huffman Community, passed from this life Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at his home.

Born in Joine to Grady Oliver and Minnie Lorene Shirley Massey, he was a member of Mary's Chapel Baptist Church and was employed with Welch's Hauling.

Grady was a person whose love and devotion to his family and friends was only superseded by his faith, hope and love for Jesus Christ.

Church and gospel music was of great importance to him. Grady was an accomplished musician of the guitar, piano and many other instruments. He played lead guitar for the gospel group "Extended Grace," was a lead and harmony singer and also wrote several songs.

His true courage and strength was revealed when he was diagnosed with cancer and through his faith in God, he set an example of living that was truly an inspiration of courage. His love and devotion to his wife, children and grandchildren will be the glue that will keep them together for generations to come.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Lori Massey Robinson; two brothers, Paul Massey and Jerry Massey; and a sister, Shelby Ammons.
