Kelly Gene Walters

Mr. Kelly Gene Walters, 65, of Blytheville, passed from this life Monday, March 12, 2012, at Great River Medical Canter in Blytheville.

Born in Yalobusha County, Miss., to Earl Wayne and Lola Lyles Walters, he proudly served his country in the United States Marines during the Vietnam War. He retired from Ford Motor Company as Service Manager.

Kelly enjoyed fishing and hunting and was an avid Arkansas Razorback football and basketball fan. He was deeply loved by his family and friends and will be truly missed by all.

He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Dale Wayne Walters Sr.

He is survived by his wife, Cris Stricklan Walters of Blytheville;

His mother, Lola Lyles Caviness of Blytheville;

A son, Brian Walters and wife, Stephanie, of Blytheville;

Three grandchildren, Caitland Walters, Caleb Walters and Keeton Walters, all of Blytheville;

Four brothers, Lewis "Dago" Walters and wife, June, Ned Walters and wife, Mary, and Terry Walters and wife, Kim, all of Blytheville, and Danny Walters and wife, Cindy, of Grenada, Miss.;

A sister, Cheryle Walters Grissom and husband, Mitchell, of Gosnell; and

Several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Billy Holifield officiating. An online register may be signed at cobbfuneralhome.com
