Benjamin J. Brooks

Mr. Benjamin J. Brooks, 48, of Blytheville, died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012, in Memphis. He was a machine operator.

He leaves behind his mother, Mary Been Martin of Blytheville;

Two daughters, Qiniqua Newman of Blytheville and Anesha Bates of Kalamazoo, Mich.;

Four sisters, Gloria Rodgers of Atlanta, and Janie Brooks, Selma Brooks and Gladys Thomas, all of Blytheville;

Five brothers, Harold Brooks, Russell Brooks and Johnny Brooks of Blytheville, and Eddie Brooks and Al Brooks of Milwaukee, Wis.;

A special friend and companion, Faye Newman of Blytheville; and

Two grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors from 5-7 p.m. Friday at Wolfe Brothers Funeral Home in Blythevile. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at New Emanuel Church. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
