Mrs. Otean Anderson, 81, of Blytheville, died Monday, Jan. 16, 2012, at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville.

She was born in Tyronza to Lemmie and Reed Mosby, the sixth of their 13 children. Her parents; her husband, James "Bull" Anderson; and eight of her siblings preceded her in death.

They moved here around 1952 and she became a member of True Light Missionary Baptist Church. Later, she joined New Immanuel Missionary Baptist Church and remained a faithful member until her health failed. She served as an usher.

Survivors are her son, the Rev. James (and Debra) Anderson Jr. of Memphis;

Four grandchildren, Debra Thomas, Kameena Anderson, Jacques Anderson and Jeremiah Anderson;

Two sisters, Mrs. Earnestine (and Sammy) Emory of Gary, Ind., and Mrs. Lula (and Larry) Powell of Atwarter, Calif.;

Two brothers, Lemmie L. (and Ester) Mosby of Detroit and David L. (and Rubye) Mosby of Portage, Ind.; and

Many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at McDonald-Horne Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Burton Furlow officiating. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Gardens. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the service begins Wednesday.
