Rufus Harrell

Mr. Rufus Harrell, 59, died Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012, at his home in Osceola. Born Feb. 20, 1952, in Luxora to Rubbel and Mary Lee Harrell, he was a farmer.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Ida Smith; and two brothers, Roy Harrell and Johnny Harrell.

Mr. Harrell leaves five daughters, Felicia Harrell, Alexis Harrell and Chyna Harrell of Osceola, and Tabitha Hodges and Arbedella Hollis of Luxora;

Five sons, Rufus Harrell Jr. of Luxora, Johnathan Harrell of Burlington, Iowa, Patrick Harrell of Sioux City, Iowa, James Johnson of Blytheville and Kenneth Johnson of Orlando, Fla.;

One sister, Rebecca England of Osceola; and

Three brothers, David Harrell of Elkhart, Ind., Jerry Harrell of South Carolina and Bobby Harrell of Halls, Tenn.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Gospel Temple in Luxora with Michael McKinney officiating. Burial will follow at Luxora Cemetery in Luxora. The family will receive visitors from noon-2 p.m. Saturday at Gospel Temple.
