Motorist meets angel in Blytheville

Friday, January 6, 2012

To the editor:

Angels take different forms. Last Thursday, the 29th, I was privileged to meet one in Blytheville, Ark.

I was en route, by myself, from Texas to Illinois to attend the funeral of a dear family member. I stopped at the Quik Stop to gas up and locked my keys, cell phone and purse in my vehicle. A wonderful young man offered to make some phone calls to get someone to come open my vehicle. I believe that while on the phone, he identified him self as "Carter." He made sure that a locksmith was on the way and then told the clerk and myself that he was on his way to work. I just pray that he wasn't late for work.

I want to thank that young man for what he did to help out a stranger. You never know what form an angel will take, but they do walk among us.
