Janice Lynn McWhirter

Ms. Janice Lynn McWhirter, 58, of Manila, died Friday, Dec . 30, 2011, at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. Born in Manila to the late Kenneth Whirter and the late Mildred Hicks Whirter, she was a retired registered nurse and a member of the First Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Kenny McWhirter.

Ms. McWhirter leaves one daughter, Christi Leonard of Olive Branch, Miss.;

One brother, Chuck McWhirter of Manila;

Four grandchildren, Devin Ford, Justin Pate, Christopher Pate and Katelynn Pate; and

Two step-grandchildren, Jeremy Leonard and Bryce Leonard.

The family has honored Janice's request for cremation and ask that any memorials be made to Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House at 1138 E. Matthews, Jonesboro 72401.
