Floyd Gilbert Henry

Mr. Floyd Gilbert Henry, 94, of Manila, passed from this life early Sunday, Dec. 4, 2011, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born in Manila, he was the son of the late George L. and Mary Frances Johnigan Henry and had been a lifelong area resident. He was a retired farmer and longtime member of the Brown's Chapel Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Frankie Morris Henry; a son, Lonnie Dale Henry; three grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and one great-great-grandchild.

He leaves three sons, Floyd Eugene Henry of Corpus Christie, Texas, Jimmy Ray "Hardrock" Henry and Rick Henry, both of Manila;

One daughter, Bonnie Henry Beal of Rector;

A special nephew, Woodrow Henry of Manila; and

Fourteen grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with the Rev. Eddie Hawkins and the Rev. Mark Lambert officiating.
