Larry Calvin Crocker

Mr. Larry Calvin Crocker, 65, of Blytheville, passed from this life Monday, Oc. 31, 2011, at Great River Medical Center.

Born to William Dewitt and Joyce Sappington Crocker, he was a Vietnam War Veteran, proudly serving his country in the United States Marine Corp, where he was a recipient of two Purple Hearts.

He was employed at Eaker Air Force Base Commissary, as a Stocker/Clerk for many years and was of the Baptist faith.

Larry loved reading, the Arkansas Razorbacks and the St. Louis Cardinals and was even a great baseball player himself, playing on an American Legion State Title baseball team.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Billy Eugene Crocker and Gary Wayne Crocker; and Sheila Stevens, mother of Heather, Courtney and Tiffany.

He leaves his children, Kevin Crocker (and Jessica) of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Stacy Fulks and her husband, Stan, of Gosnell, Tiffany Bullard and her husband, Blake, of Chesapeake Va., Heather Merrick and her husband, Jeremy, of Jonesboro, Courtney Collums and her husband, Tim, of Jonesboro;

Three grandchildren, Dylan Riggs, Sara Riggs and Ella Collums, and soon to arrive, Jaxon Fulks;

Two brothers, Jim Crocker and wife, Cindy, of Blytheville and W.D. Crocker and wife, Debra of Boliver, Tenn.;

A sister, Betty Miserlis of Kerrville, Texas; and

Kay Ohmer, mother of Kevin and Stacy.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. today in Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gary Hyde and Pastor Paul Strong officiating. The family received friends at 10 a.m. until service time. Condolences may be emailed to cobbfuneralhome@sbcglobal.net
