Mr. James T. Marshall, 70, of Blytheville, died Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2011, at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville.

Born in Mooreville, Miss., to Travis and Opal Earlene Parker Marshall, he was a retired Lieutenant with the Mississippi County Sheriffs Department. James also retired from the United States Air Force in 1978 and served in the Vietnam War, receiving the Bronze Star.

He leaves his wife, Linda Hannah Marshall of the home;

His children, Rob Marshall and Ranita Marshall Standridge, both of Gosnell, Marlene Banhart of Blytheville and Troy Marshall of Jacksonville;

A sister, Louise Sloan of Lookout Valley, Tenn.;

Four grandchildren, Jamie Standridge, Kristy Bailey, Lindsey Marshall and Hunter Marshall;

Four step-grandchildren, Clayton Logan, Garrett Logan, Kelsea Elrod and Kaitlyn Elrod;

A great-grandson, C.W. Bailey;

An unborn great-granddaughter, Hannah Bailey; and

Numerous other relatives. No funeral services are planned at this time. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Blytheville Humane Society. Cobb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be emailed to cobbfuneralhome@sbcglobal.net
