Mrs. Louise Medlin Ledbetter, 98, of Gosnell, passed from this life Monday, Oct. 10, 2011, at Heritage Square Nursing Center in Blytheville. Born to William and Cora Alice Smith Medlin in Gosnell, she was a lifelong resident and a member of the Woodland Corner Baptist Church.

"Granny" was also a "crack shot" with a rifle. She would hunt to help provide food and raised a garden and chickens. She was a tenacious person who ensured everything would be completed. She was also a self sufficient person who could literally accomplish any task she faced. She possessed an inner strength and faith in God that carried her through 98 years in this world.

She was the "baby "of the family who was preceded in death by her parents; ten brothers and sisters; her son and daughter in law, Carl Boyd and Joyce Canamore Ledbetter; anda great-great-granddaughter, Alivia Dianne Tilley.
