Mrs. Jessie Lois French, 97, of Blytheville, died Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2011, at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville.

Born in Johnson County, Ark., to R.D. and Lillie Rhea Brown, she was a retired lunchroom worker for the Gosnell Schools and was a member of the Lone Oak Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy French; and two brothers.

She leaves her son, Harold Bigham of Edgemont;

A daughter, Thelma King of Gosnel;

A step-daughter, Betty Thurman of St. Louis;

Six grandchildren and one special grandson; and

Several great- and great-great-grandchildren.
