Mr. Walter Tilman Duncan, 77, of Blytheville entered into rest Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2011, in Jonesboro. Born March 17, 1934, to the late David and Ceceila Duncan, he was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Gosnell, an Army Veteran, a member of the American Legion and a truck driver.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Roy Lynn Duncan and Troy Glenn Duncan; three sisters, Mamie White, Ellen Davis and Frances Webber; and two brothers, Bill Duncan and Bob Duncan.

He leaves his wife, Virginia Duncan;

Four sons, Robert Duncan and David Duncan of Grapevine, Joel Duncan of Maryville, Ind., and Yancy Hull;

Two daughters, Teresa Boner of Granite City, Ill., and Linda Mattely of Cahokia, Ill.;

Two step-daughters, Tammy Statler of Normantown, W.V, and Teresa Worley of Fults, Ill.;

One sister, Peggy Brown of Smithville;

Two brothers, Jasper Duncan of Farmington, Mo., and Jackie Duncan of O'Fallon, Mo.; and

Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great -grandchildren

Visitation will be held from 6-8 today at Bethany Baptist Church in Gosnell. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Bethany Baptist Church with Bro. Gary Hyde officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Blytheville. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations are sent to Bethany Baptist Church Building Fund.
