Mr. Earnest Fowler Sr., 94, of Blytheville, died Tuesday, July 26, 2011, at South Mississippi County Regional Hospital in Osceola. Born Feb. 22, 1917, in Duncan, he was a Baptist and had worked in a furniture store.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Fowler and Pearl McGee Fowler; his wife, Addie G. Jenkins Fowler; and his daughter Pearlie B. Fowler.

Mr. Fowler leaves five daughters, Shirley Andrew, Joann Fowler, Judy (and Pete) Pope and Sybil Chew, all of Blytheville, and Shirley (and Robert) Day of Oklahoma City;

Seven sons, Earnest (and Virginia) Fowler Jr., Larry (and Earnestine) Fowler, Luster (and Rosetta) Fowler, Quincy (and Ethel) Fowler, Grady (and Linda) Fowler, and Brady (and Elizabeth) Fowler, all of Blytheville, and Michael (and Annie) Fowler of Indianapolis;

One brother, Luster (and Lillian) Fowler;

One step-brother, Richard (and Shirley) Tucker;

One brother-in-law, Moses Mullins Sr.;

One special friend, Mary Simpson; and

Forty-one grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville. Funeral services, officiated by the Rev. Brian Olden, will take place at 3 p.m. Saturday at Prince of Peace Church. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Gardens Cemetery.
