For the vast majority of you who read this column each week, it may come as a surprise that, along with four of my colleagues, I was part of an online popularity contest run by the Courier News on its website last week to determine the most popular local columnist. Also included in the little unscientific contest were editors Andy Weld and Mark Brasfield, publisher David Tennyson, and investigative reporter Donna Hilton. The results of this little contest were published on Page 5 of Sunday's paper, and are not really important.
