Rosie Lee Jones

Mrs. Rosie Lee Jones was born Feb. 26, 1926, in Tutwieler, Miss., to James and Jetaner Lee. She died April 27, 2011.

After moving to Blytheville at an early age, she became a member of Nehemiah Temple C.O.G.I.C under the leadership of Bishop Miner Jones.

She settled in Danbury, Conn., in 1994 and became a member of New Bethel C.O.G.I.C. where she served on the Mother Board.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and three brothers and sisters.

She leaves, three sons, Elder Ernest Jones and Larry Jones, both of Danbury, Conn., and Carl (and Sharon) Jones of Little Rock;

Four daughters, Jean E. Jones, Carolyn Smith and Marilyn Lee, all of Danbury, and Dorothy (and Lawrence) Wilis of Little Rock;

A brother, J.W. Lee of Chicago;

Three sisters, Nancy McDowell, Willie B. Cummings and Jenny Hunter, all of Cincinnati, Ohio; and

Eighteen grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were May 6, 2011, in Danbury, Conn., under the direction of Baker-Isaac Funeral Services in Bridgeport, Conn.
