Jack Lee, 77, of Hornersville, Mo., died Tuesday, May 31, 2011, at the NHC Healthcare in Kennett, Mo., after a prolonged illness. Born March 19, 1934, in Binger, Okla., to the late Jimmie O. Lee and Ruby Morris Lee, he was a lifelong Hornersville area resident. Mr. Lee was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Hornersville, a Hornersville High School graduate and was a United States Army neteran. He was also a farmer and truck driver for many years until retirement.

He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Ruby M. Lee of Kennett, Mo.; two sons, David Lee of Brandon, Miss., and Mike Baker of Michigan; one brother, Jimmie Lee and wife Marita of Hornersville, Mo.; one sister, Wilma Droke and husband Chris of Hornersville, Mo.; two nephews, Jason Droke and Terry Lee; two nieces: Jackie McCormick and Deborah Russell and a host of other family and friends.

Mr. Lee was preceded in death by his father Jimmie O. Lee.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 3, at the United Methodist Church in Hornersville, Mo., with Rev. Jim Pemberton and Rev. Paul Moore officiating. Burial followed in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett, Mo., with military honors. The family received visitors Friday, June 3, from 10 a.m. until time of service at the church.

Faith Funeral Service of Manila was in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family asked that any donations be made to the Cancer Society or the United Methodist Church.

Pallbearer were James Lowrey, Tony Kackley, Gene Felker, Rodger Howart, Bobby Burdette and Ronnie Lea. Honorary pallbearers were Don May and Eual Brown.
