Mr. Joseph Robert Earl Grady, 84, of Osceola passed away Thursday, June 2, 2011. He served in the U.S. Army in WWII. After being honorably discharged he returned home to Hayti, Mo.

He was a longtime resident of Blytheville and moved to Osceola in 1982. He was employed as office manager and bookkeeper for Ohlendorf Investments.

He was preceded in death by his father, Claud Watt Grady; his mother Anna Melissa Kullman Grady; one brother Claude Watt Grady Jr.; and two sisters Agnes Smith and Christine Grady.

He leaves his wife of 32 years, Peggy Driver Grady;

Two sons, Bill (and Pam) Godley, John Lee (and Renee) Godley

Two daughters, Gaye (and Steve) McCarty and Ellen (and Gary) Bright;

Three grandsons, Steven Edwards, Scott (and Candis) Edwards and Josh Godley;

Three granddaughters, Melissa Mantz, Emily Mantz and Elizabeth Godley; and

One great-granddaughter, Eryn-lin Edwards.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Sunday at Roller-Swift Funeral Home in Osceola, followed by the Rosary at 7 p.m. The mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Matthew Catholic church at 2 p.m. Monday in Osceola with the Rev. Joseph Pallo officiating. Burial will follow at Ermen Cemetery. The family requests memorials be sent to St. Matthews Catholic Church, P.O. Box 583 Osceola, AR 72370, or the charity of their choice.
