Ms. Rosie Mae Jefferson, 62, of Blytheville, died Saturday, May 28, 2011, in her home. Born in Walls to Willie Percy and Lucy Jefferson, she moved to Blytheville from Chicago in 1969. She was an employee of CarMac Convenience Store on the Ark-Mo state line.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lucy; her son, Jimmie; and her daughter, Virginia.

Ms. Jefferson leaves her father, Willie P. Jefferson of Walls;

Three daughters, Melanie (and James Walton) Jefferson, Jennifer Jefferson, and Lorina (and Tony McDougal) Turner, all of Blytheville;

Seven sons, Lee Edward (and Charlotte) Jefferson of New York, Tyrone (and Sonya) McGee and Shaun Jefferson of Blytheville, Charles Jefferson of Homestead, Ricky Jefferson, Anthony Jefferson and Antoine Jefferson, all of Madison;

Four sisters, Nancy Jefferson of Tunica, Danella (and Charles) Vaughn of Oxford, and Ann Jefferson and Carrie Jefferson of Memphis;

One brother, Ike Jefferson of California;

Her companion, James Anderson Sr.; and

Many grandchildren and other relatives.

The family will receive visitors from 5-7 p.m. Friday at McDonald-Horne Funeral Home in Blytheville. Funeral services, officiated by the Rev. Albert Dyer, will take place at the Prince of Peace Church at noon Saturday. Burial will follow at Memorial Park.
