Carl Raymond Neal

Carl Raymond Neal, 49, of Trumann, died Thursday at his home.

Born at Hughes, Ark., he was the son of the late Charles Henry Neal and was raised in the Leachville and Monette areas. He had lived much of his life in Jonesboro and had been a Trumann resident for the past year. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Trumann. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Jeanie Abbott and his step-father, Roscoe West.

Survivors include his wife, Beth Nelson Neal of Trumann;

Two step-sons, Eddie Schofield and Jason Rulo, both of Jonesboro;

His mother and step-father, Ethel and Earl Curtis of Monette;

One brother, Gary Neal of Lake City;

Two sisters, Janie Mays and her husband Robert of Dover, Ark., and Charlene Mangrum and her husband Dwight of Lake City; and

Three grandchildren, Brandi Rulo, Mattie Rulo and Emily Rulo.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville, with the Rev. Austin Missey officiating. Burial will follow in Leachville Cemetery. The family received visitors Saturday evening at the funeral home.
