Mayfest vendor left mess on Main Street

To the editor:

Our Mayfest on Main Street Saturday, May 7, was a wonderful event.

My question is why do vendors leave such a mess? Overall, everyone did a good job policing their area. But one food vendor especially, this group was really unsanitary with their food. Then when they left, they piled their garbage up in our parking area on Main. Plus they drained their hot grease into the parking area, next to a floral/tree area. This stinks -- draws flies, etc.

We are proud of our downtown Main Street area. Please treat our city with respect.
