Mrs. Brown was a lifelong resident of Blytheville, and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a committed Christian who lived her faith on a daily basis. Her faith in Christ motivated her to serve and minister to others, especially through her musical talents. She was a talented musician and singer, and performed professionally and on the radio with a musical group. It was her love of music that led her to her future husband, Buddy Brown. Bethyl and Buddy would go on to sing at countless churches and public events. Their music ministry through singing was a great blessing to many people. They were married for 58 years until his death in 2004.

Mrs. Brown worked for many years as a bookkeeper in the Burdette and Blytheville school systems.

She had many friends, and was very loyal to them and maintained many of those friendships throughout her life.

She leaves behind a rich legacy of friendship, faithfulness, service and family. Mrs. Brown was greatly loved by many, especially her son, daughter, grandchildren, sister and brother.

Her favorite verse in the Bible was Psalms 46:10 "Be still and know that I am God." She lived that verse. She will be missed, but we celebrate and remember who she was and the many lives she touched and influenced through her life.
