Donald Ray Blocker, 68, of Conway, formerly of Leachville, died Tuesday, March 22, 2011, at his home. Born in Arbyrd, Mo., he was the son of the late Lawrence Jack and Eva Dee Coburn Blocker and was a former Leachville resident where he was employed by Brown Shoe Company. He also worked for Frolic Footwear in Jonesboro and Russellville and retired as Plant Manager with Munro Footwear in Mount Ida. He served in the Arkansas Army National Guard and was a resident of Conway since October 2010.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Wanda Burgin.

He leaves his wife, Linda Mae Robbins Blocker of the home;

One son, Donald Keith Blocker and his wife, Shawn, of Conway;

One daughter, Connie Spears and her husband, Sam, of Conway;

One brother, James Blocker of Rineyville, Ky.;

Three sisters, Edith Watcher of Huntsville, Ala., Carolyn Klocke of Hartford, Ill., and Darlend Hetler of Leachville; and

Eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Howard Funeral Chapel in Leachville with the Rev. David Price officiating. Burial will follow at Leachville Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Caleb Blocker, Chris Blocker, Kyle Blocker, Jonathan Spears, Wade Gathright and Weslan Colbert. The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
