Mrs. Alberta Love McChristian, 77, of Blytheville, died Sunday, March 6, 2011, at Methodist Hospital in Memphis. Born in Money, Miss., the daughter of Wiley and Laura Hansburg Love, she had been an employee of Mississippi County Hospital Systems, working as a supply supervisor until her retirement. She and her husband, Charles, moved to Blytheville from Mississippi in 1959 and were members of First Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Mattie and Martha; her brothers, Will, Charles, Ulysses and Wiley Jr.; her son, Charles Jr.; her daughter, Brenda, and her husband, Charles.

Mrs. McChristian leaves three daughters and their spouses, Mrs. Patricia Holmes and Albert of Blytheville, Mrs. Linda Robinson and Benjamin of Niceville, and Mrs. Kathy Glass and Milton of Tallahassee, Fla.;

Three sisters, Mrs. Lucille Johnson of Greenwood, Miss., Mrs. Bessie Smith and her husband Will of Chicago, and Mrs. Doris Ellis and her husband Abraham of Detroit;

Three brothers, Edward Love and his wife, Joyce, of Atlanta, Roosevelt Love of Detroit and Arthur Love of Greenwood;

Sixteen grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren; and

Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Visitation will be held at First Missionary Baptist Church from 5-7 p.m. today. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at First Missionary Baptist Church, the Rev. Odale Jones, pastor. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Gardens Cemetery.
