Mrs. Shirley Travis, 61, of Greenbriar, formerly of Blytheville, passed from this life Thursday, Feb. 17, 2011, at Conway Regional Medical Center in Conway. Born in Cushman to W.D. and Wilma Janette Hamilton Sims, she was a former LPN, CNA and of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Travis was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved to spend time with her family and was a devoted fan of The Young and The Restless. She was a very kind, loving person who would help family, friends or whoever needed her. She was a people person who loved to make new friends and build special relationships.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Willie and Billy Sims.

She leaves her children, Jodi Atteberry (and Gary Carmichael) of Greenbriar, Robin Ramirez of Blytheville, Tonya and James Haddock of Greenbriar, and Kim and John Boozy of Blytheville; Her sisters, Linda Carr of Blytheville and Phyllis Sims of Van Buren, Ark.; and

Eight grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Billy Holifield officiating. Burial will be in Dogwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Sunday at Cobb Funeral Home. Condolences may be e-mailed to cobbfuneralhome@sbcglobal.net
