Dexter, Mo. -- Richard Coburn, son of the late James Richard Coburn and Cleva Lucille Blocker Coburn, was born on Nov. 3, 1936, in Leachville and departed this life on Jan. 29, 2011, at his residence in Dexter, Mo., at the age of 74 years.

Mr. Coburn was a member of the Dexter Church of Christ, a retired sheet metal fabricator in St. Louis, Mo., and a resident of Dexter for 43 years. He was a graduate of Leachville High School.

On Aug. 27, 1956, he was united in marriage to Fannie Geraldine Davis of Cardwell, Mo. Mrs. Coburn survives of the home in Dexter.

Other survivors include a son, Vincent Coburn of Dexter; a daughter, Vicki Schweiss of Arlington, Texas; a brother, Dickie Coburn of Leachville; two sisters, Shirley Cato of Jonesboro and Teresa Apple of Leachville; and two granddaughters, Laura and Maddie Schweiss, both of Arlington, Texas.

Visitation was at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter from noon until 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 1. The funeral service followed at 2 p.m. in the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter with Rev. Travis Quetermous officiating. Interment was in the Dexter Cemetery.
