Memorial Services for Dorothy "Dottye" Jean Foss, 80, of Mountain Home, will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011, at First United Methodist Church, with Reverend Jerry Reed, officiating. She was born Aug. 7, 1930, in Monette, the daughter of Elvin and Lillian Pitts Woodsmall. She married Warren Foss, Sr. on July 21, 1979, at St. Louis, Mo., and worked as a programmer for CBS Television, St Louis. Dorothy lived in Mountain Home since 1995, moving from Glen Cove, Long Island, New York. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Mountain Home.

Dottye (which means gift of God) went home to be with her Lord on Jan. 21, 2011. She was a gift that was given to us for a while and now we know that the Lord needs to take her back to His treasure chest of special people. While she was with us she was a smiling light to all she met and knew. No one could be in her presence for long without knowing how special and uplifting she was. She loved people and they loved her and she was always trying to find ways to help others. She certainly did let her light shine before everyone she met and she always had a great testimony for the Lord and His kingdom. The Lord gave her special gifts in family love and unity and her special cooking and culinary talent was well known and appreciated by many. She was a great organizer and meticulous in details. She also loved plants and flowers and gardening and they too responded to her loving care. In her last days here with us on earth she demonstrated strength of faith and peace that only could have been part of her special gift from the Lord. Sweetheart, we already miss you more than words can say but we know we will see you again!

She is survived by her husband, Warren Foss of the home; 2 sons, Danny Bronaugh of Hillsboro, MO, and Warren (Pamela) Foss, Jr. of Cape Cod, MA; 3 daughters, Geraldine Foss of Greenfield, NH, Dr. Cynthia (David) Bowman of Hope, ME and Gloria (Paul) St. Amant of Brandon, FL; 4 grandsons, Ronald (Dawn) Bronaugh, William Foss, David Per Bowman, and Jeffrey (Andrea) St. Amant; 4 granddaughters, Andrea (Dennis) Fisler, Danielle Bronaugh, Alexandra Heather Foss and Christina St. Amant; a brother, Rudolph (Fern) Woodsmall of Paragould; a sister, Norma (Gene) Gathright of
