Dorothy Ellouise Lane

Dorothy Ellouise Lane, 89, of Monette, widow of Lacy Clay "Mutt" Lane, who passed away March 17, 1961, died Thursday, Dec. 9, 2010, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born at Black Oak she had attended school at the Wallace community and Monette. She was a homemaker and attended the First United Methodist Church in Monette.

She is survived by two sons, David Allen Lane of Monette and Preston Ray Lane of Keatchie, La.; a daughter,

Kathy Fraser of Monette; a sister, Gwen Goodson of St. Louis, Mo.; three grandchildren, Penny Lane, Kim Smith, and Biff Fraser; and three great-grandchildren, Matthew Fraser, Aubrey Smith, and Avery Smith.

Funeral services were 2 p.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church in Monette with Rev. Jerry Reed officiating. Burial was in the Monette Cemetery under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Leachville.

The family received visitors Friday evening from 6-8 at the Church in Monette.
