Roy Wesley McPherson

Mr. Roy Wesley McPherson, 94, of Cardwell, formerly of Leachville, died Sunday, Dec. 5, 2010, at his home. Born in Mayflower, he was the son of the late John and Dovie Hayes McPherson, and had been a Leachville resident since1946.

He was married to Mrs. Sylbia Phillips McPherson Jan. 8, 1939, and was a retired farmer, having farmed in the Paragould and Leachville areas.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Sylbia McPherson on Dec. 26, 2009; and by five brothers and two sisters.

Mr. McPherson leaves his son, Sammy McPherson and his wife, Kathy, of Cardwell;

His daughter, Frances Phillips and her husband, Danny, of Gardner; and

Four grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. today in the Howard Funeral Chapel in Leachville, with burial following in the Cardwell Cemetery. The family received visitors from 10 a.m. until service time today.
