Willie Faye Janeway, 85, of Jonesboro, died July 30, 2010, at Lakeside Nursing Center in Lake City. Ms. Janeway was born April 26, 1925, in Huntsville, Texas, to the late Isaac and Cortney Sturgeon. She was a retired cook from California who moved to this area in 1997. She was very active in church and loved spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include three sons, James Janeway, Clifford Janeway, and Will Janeway and wife Brenda, all of Marshall, Ark.; three daughters, Helen Shinault and husband Robert of Jonesboro, Lavern Mann and husband Bill of Harriet and Linda Dodd and husband Monte of Porterville, Calif.; three sisters, Cleo Spriell of Texas, Alice Pharr of Washington and Patsy Akin of Oklahoma; 27 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.

Ms. Janeway was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, of 58 years, William Edward Janeway; five brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services were 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 4, at the Bible Holiness Pentecostal Church, 2402 County Road 905, Jonesboro, with the Rev. Mike Chaney and Rev. Bill Mann officiating. Burial was at Pine Log Cemetery, Brookland.

The family received visitors from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 3, at the Bible Holiness Pentecostal Church. Faith Funeral Service of Manila was in charge of arrangements.
