Harold "Huey" Chipman, 50, of Lexington, Okla., formerly of Manila, died Saturday, July 10, 2010, in Purcell, Okla. Born in St. Louis, Mo., he was the son of the late C.J. "Hoot" Chipman, was a graduate of Manila High School and had lived in Oklahoma for the past 25 years. He was retired from the University of Oklahoma and was a member of the Buffalo Baptist Church.

He enjoyed motorcycles, going to the lake, and spending time outdoors with friends.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Justin Ayres of Norman, Okla.; his mother, Anna Chipman of Manila; a step-son, Randy Williams of Norman, Okla.; three brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Pam Chipman, Charles and Karen Chipman, and Paul and Vickie Chipman, all of Manila; three sisters, Theresa Russell and husband, Dolan of Manila, Avise Wright of Manila, and Carla and Arlas Dozhier of Siloam Springs; and two grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the First Assembly of God in Manila with Rev. James Chipman officiating. Burial will follow in Manila Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila.
