Freeman Delbert Williams, 82, of Jackson, Mo., formerly of Manila and Dexter, Mo., passed away Sunday, March 7, 2010, at Cape Girardeau. Born at Beach Grove, Ark., he was the son of the late Roy and Mamie Harvel Williams and had been a resident of Jackson for the past 11 years.

Mr. Williams was a retired home builder and farmer and was a member of First Baptist Church in Jackson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Kenny Dale Williams; his brothers, Ed Williams and Dwight Williams; his sisters, Imogene Clark and Judy Carolyn Williams.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby Northington Williams of the home; a son, Dr. Stan Williams and wife Sandi of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Sheila Steele and husband Terry of Jackson; four grandchildren, Aaron Williams and wife Crystal, Tel Williams, Anna Wren and Nick Wren; five brothers, Elsworth Williams, Charles Williams and wife Judy, Micky Williams and wife Jeannie, Daryl Williams and wife Phyllis, and Joseph Williams and wife Karen; three sisters, Marie Decker and husband Elwood, Lettie Bradshaw and husband J.D. and Patsy Bradshaw and husband Ralph.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Manila Cemetery with Rev. Ferrel Duffel officiating. The family will receive visitors Wednesday morning from 10 a.m. until time of service at Howard Funeral Chapel in Manila.
