Beatrice Davis, 85, of Blytheville, died Friday, Dec. 11, 2009, at St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born in Lexington, Tenn., to Wiley and Missie Pruitt Middleton, she lived most of her life in Blytheville and was a member of the Gospel Lighthouse Church. She retired from the Borg Warner Corporation. Mrs. Davis enjoyed yard work, helping other people, and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Davis, a son, James Davis, and a brother, Jerry Middleton.

Survivors are her children, Linda and Bobby Tucker of Manila, and Ann Humphreys of Tyronza; daughter-in-law Lavern Davis of Lexington; brothers, Hershel and Beatrice Middleton, Gene Middleton, and Dewayne and Ann Middleton of Erin, Tenn.; sister, Bernice Caine of Grand Junction, Colo.; grandchildren, Alecia Downing of Manila and Brian Humphreys of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; great-grandchildren, Amanda Frazier, Chad Miles and Chelsea Fair; great-great-grandchildren, Aiden Massey, Addyson Massey, and Aleck Frazier; a dear friend, Lillie Lawshea; and two special puppies, Mollie and Abby.

The funeral was held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 14, at the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend David Craig officiating. Burial was in Center Hill Cemetery in Lexington, Tenn. Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 13, at Cobb Funeral Home.
