Frank Corneilous Miller

Frank Corneilous Miller, 82, of Jonesboro, formerly of Chicago, died Monday, Sept. 7, 2009, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. He was born at Holland, Mo., the son of the late George and Malinda Miller and was raised in Northeast Arkansas and Southeast Missouri. He had lived most of his life in Chicago and was retired from the city of Chicago Sanitation Department. He had been a Jonesboro resident for the past seven years.

He is survived by his wife, Connie Miller of the home; six sons, George Miller and Donnie Miller, both of Indiana, Johnny Miller, Keith Miller and Dwight Miller, all of Illinois, and Chuck Miller of Chicago; nine daughters, Shirley Miller, Estelle Zaccro, Jennifer Mauch, Salena Miller and Vanessa Miller, all of Illinois, Ellen Schaffer of Nevada, Delores Miller of Wisconsin, Heather Steffen of Jonesboro and Sandy K. Miller of Missouri; two brothers, George Miller of Jonesboro and Herbert Miller of Cardwell, Mo.; two sisters, Betty Frasher of Arbyrd, Mo., and Mary Ann Campbell of Kentucky. He also leaves many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Howard Funeral Chapel in Leachville with Rev. Leland Dement officiating. Burial was in the Leachville Cemetery.

The family received visitors from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
