Bobby Joe Reed

Bobby Joe Reed, 55, of Paragould, died at his home on Sunday, Aug. 2, 2009, after a brief battle with cancer. Mr. Reed was born Dec. 7, 1953 to Harold Reed and Lois "Hill" Reed. He was of the Catholic faith, a truck driver, a Harley Davidson motorcycle enthusiast and loved spending time with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Reed; a son, Bobby J. Strainis; two brothers, Billy Reed and Harold Reed; a sister, Donna Reed.

Survivors include three sons, Mark Strainis and wife Dawn Ramos of Chicago, Ill., James Reed of Illinois, and Earl Reed of Paragould; a daughter, Jamie Reed; a brother, Johnny Reed; three sisters, Paula Rogers and husband Ralph of Lafe, Nancy Smith of Paragould, and Mary Reed; several grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

A graveside service was held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 5, at Pine Log Cemetery in Brookland with the Rev. Jerry Kersey officiating. Faith Funeral Service of Manila is in charge of arrangements.
