Billy F. Farrow, 66, of Manila died Monday, April 27, 2009, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born at Etowah, he was the son of Mary Sarter Farrow and the late William H. Farrow and had lived most of his life in Manila. He served in the U.S. Army Reserve and was a retired farmer. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Manila.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Farrow, and a sister, Mary "Chee Chee" Quick.

Survivors include his wife, Kaye Broom Farrow of the home; a son, Billy Farrow, Jr. of Manila; a daughter and son-in-law, Jonna and Dan Lackey of Manila; his mother, Mary Farrow of Manila; two sisters, Clara Gilbert of Steele, Mo., and Brenda Hall of Palm Bay, Fla. He also leaves the loves of his life, his three grandchildren, Mary Kathryn, Chloe and Eli.

The funeral was held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 30, at the Manila First United Methodist Church with Rev. Jerry Pentecost officiating.

Pallbearers were Dan Lackey, Jimmy Farrow, Dan Lewis, Joel Haynes, Jim Thieme, and Paul W. Hicks.

Burial was in the Manila Cemetery under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Manila. The family received visitors Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
