GURDON - Senior T.J. Hodges ran for four scores as the visiting Marked Tree Indians (2-1) overwhelmed the Gurdon Go-Devils (1-2) Friday at Go Devil Stadium in Gurdon.

Hodges ran for a total of 256 yards, as the Indians ground attack gashed the Gurdon defense all night.

Indian senior quarterback Kenyon Carter tossed a touchdown pass to Landon Lewis and ran for another score as Marked Tree closed out non-conference play with a blowout win.

Gurdon senior quarterback Rhett Ledbetter threw for 129 yards, completing 8 of 13 passes with a touchdown and two interceptions and senior receiver Talon Griffin hauled in two passes for 52 yards in the loss. The Gurdon offense also generated 105 yards on the ground on 22 carries, as junior Uriah Gatlin ran four times for 25 yards. Ledbetter added 21 yards on the ground on a pair of carries.

The Go Devils were hampered by penalties all night picking up eight for 58 yards. Marked Tree suffered six penalties for 36 yards.

Marked Tree is off next week and returns to play Sept. 27 when they host Marianna to open 2-2A play.
