Voters approve economic dev. tax extension

Mississippi County voters passed a 10-year extension for the one-half cent sales and use tax for economic development with a 60.22 percent margin — 557-368. The vote will extend the tax from June 30, 2023, to June 30, 2033. A total of 925 voted in the special election.
