Russell Ware, long-time Blytheville resident, has lived in his home on Peabody Street since 1974. He is having a problem with someone discarding their trash over his fence. Mr. Ware, a disabled veteran, said this problem has been going on for several months...

Cameron Tate won the Lake City mayoral run-off, receiving 58.47 percent of the combined 443 ballots cast. Tate received a  total of 259 votes to Chad Moody’s 184 (41.53 percent). Mississippi County Sheriff Dale Cook said this week he will seek re-election in the May, 2022 primary election. Cook, first elected in 2010, said he wants to continue working on the goals he has set forth, concentrating on illegal drugs and thefts. “Illegal drug and theft arrests remain my top priorities,” Cook said. ...

A proposed $22 million residential development took another step towards coming to fruition Tuesday evening when the Blytheville Planning Commission approved a rezoning request. Newcap Blytheville plans to develop 302 Porter Commons Drive, which is a 12-acre property just north of Walmart on the service road, with 51 townhouses and 96 apartments, for a total of 147 units...
