Osceola sues to stop special election

The City of Osceola filed a motion to once again stop a special election scheduled for the purpose of allowing the citizens of Mississippi County to approve or reject the extension of the current "hospital tax" from March 31, 2020 until March 31, 2047 and permit the issuance of capital improvement bonds for the construction of a new courthouse in Blytheville (up to $25 million), to provide long term financing of the Mississippi County Hospital System and other infrastructure improvements in the county.. ...
