Far too often, we associate Williams Park with crime, vandalism and shootings. Not so this past Saturday. This Saturday I had the opportunity to observe a wonderful event in Williams Park. For the 28th year in the row, a community event led by the Sims family came together and did something special for the children, the neighborhood and the city of Blytheville as they celebrated the memory of a loved one-- a community leader who was tragically slain so long ago...

Mr. Willie Hassell (Brother) expired on July 16, 2015 at NEA Baptist Memorial Health Care in Jonesboro, Ark. He is the grandson of the late Mathias and Emma Hassell and the son of Willie and Mamie Hassell.
