Ozark Missions Project in town

The Ozark Mission Project (OMP) has been in Blytheville since Monday, June 15 painting houses, building wheelchair ramps and erecting hand rails at the homes of those who are unable to do their own upkeep. OMP was started in 1986 and now has 12 camps throughout the state of Arkansas. The campers of OMP are sent to these 12 camps over the summer to work on needy individuals' properties in the surrounding areas...

Blytheville tax adjustments explained

As reported by the CN last week, the City of Blytheville announced that tax revenue was down by $30,000. This shortfall, according to Finance Director John Callens, was due to a $64,322.58 sum adjustment issued by the Department of Finance and Administration (DFA) in May.
